Tumble.rb = Tumblr Photo Uploader
Finally completed a version of Tumble.rb that works as I initially envisioned and that I can release. It’s a way for lazy posting images to the queue. Nothing really complex a Ruby Pro couldn’t cook up in a minute. But it was a good exercise to test some stuff for a noob like me.
This is really a big Hello World script, but someone might find it useful. Next I’m gonna work on...

I’m surprised no one did this before, considering body dismemberment was a killer feature many years ago. Still, I wonder if this will offer any interesting gameplay or will just let you feel the ultimate badass. As long as you can do the crazy shit Goemon Ishikawa does, probably cutting the environment is way more interesting than slicing people in half.

Rss Readers on the iPad
Reeder for iPad just came out. Let’s be clear there: it is not good yet, but it is close, and seemingly on the good direction.
So here’s the problem: RSS readers for the iPad sucks. There’s no way around it. There seems to be two different paths currently followed by their developers: they either adapt the interface of a traditional reader or look for new, native, solutions.

El Cheapo iPad Stylus
Finally made my iPad stylus. Used a scotch-brite sponge* and some aluminium from a cigar container (a beer can might be fine too!). I’ve just cut the aluminium, rolled it to the size I desired and pushed some sponge inside. No glue, no cables. I’m still not happy with the tip size: I’d like a smaller one for more precise linework, but I’m thinking a smaller one might not...
