Google Warfare, a mockup
This is a mockup I’ve made to illustrate an idea I’ve had a few days ago. It occured to me while reading about RUSE; seeing the developers advocating the use of a freeform map and directly citing google map as an influence, I thought that would be really awesome to play a game like that directly in a web application.

What happened to the Typing of the Dead II? The game was released in japan but looks like there’s no plan to translate it for western typists. Too bad, because the first game was weirdly brilliant, hard as fuck and actually helped you getting better in a real life skill.

First impressions counts: so I’m gonna discard HAWX after a few minutes with the demo. This version of the good old Air Combat is tainted by a control system that sure is revolutionary for the genre, but fails miserably for me. Being kind of a simulation geek I feel completely in control of a plane from inside a cockpit; from outside? not so much.
There’s probably a market for this...
