We need a variant of the Uncanny Valley for Sandbox Games. There’s clearly a sense of dread once you realize that incredibly big and detailed space you can freely explore is pretty much deserted and there’s nothing to do in it.

You know what makes me sad? BattleForge was a fine small game, with some interesting design choices and a *feel* that was pretty close to Blizzard heaven.
