iPad presentation crushed a lot of people’s expectations, that’s for sure. Some of us were waiting for something a bit more powerful. I was also hoping for a viable platform for book reading. Apple instead seems more interested in offering a bigger device to offer new kinds of applications.
I’ve been on the fence on ebook readers for awhile. I still think books are a terrible...

You play as a warrior climbing a tall tower to reach the precious Ruby at the top level. On each floor you need to write a Ruby script to instruct the warrior to battle enemies, rescue captives, and reach the stairs.

Things I like:
The idea of drawing with it. the basic version may be really a damn cheap alternative to the absolutely beautiful Wacom Cintiq. Especially if the hardware allows it and someone writes a good software. Shouldn’t be very hard to build a bluetooth pen with pressure sensitivity.
The whole book thing. I was wondering what kind of formats the iBooks software...
So, if it’s not so pricey and you can draw easily on it I might get the iTablet or whatever it’s gonna be called.

This is very good news.
A bit late, but those are my new year resolutions:
1) getting better at Ruby and Rails
2) learning some Java or C#, maybe
3) losing a few pounds
4) Finishing Spelunky at least once
5) Back to Dwarf Fortress, destroying at least a dwarf settlement with a self-inflicted lava-induced clusterfuck.
6) Back to drawing or at least doodling with the wacom tablet
7) Some running when the weather...
