The Streisand effect is an Internet phenomenon where an attempt to censor or remove a piece of information backfires, causing the information to be widely publicized. Examples of such attempts include censoring a photograph, a number, a file, or a website (for example via a cease-and-desist letter). A reverse seerch engine. You upload an image, it tells you where it came from. Easy SAUCE for everyone? not yet. right now it hardly finds anything, but sure looks promising.
New FF beta online, adding direct messages and real-time updating and a new layout that I hope will get fixed.
Also, I kinda use FF as an aggregator of external content too, so I’m not amused by the fact they have removed the ‘imaginary friend’ feature (unless it is hidden somewhere).
Update: Imaginary Friends are no more but you can still create custom users by creating a private feed group and putting in it whatever you want
